What is the dress code?
The dress code is formal / semi-formal - think suits, gowns, and blazers. Since the ceremony is a Catholic Mass, we kindly ask that all guests dress modestly and appropriately out of respect for the sacred space. For women, this means covering your shoulders (a wrap, shawl, or sleeved dress works beautifully). Please avoid anything too short or low-cut for the church - you're welcome to change or layer for the reception afterward!
When should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please plan to be seated at Saint John the Evangelist by 11:45 AM. The Mass will begin promptly at 12:00 PM. Arriving early gives you time to find a seat and enjoy the music before things get started.
Is there parking at the venues?
Street parking is available in downtown Frederick near the church, but please note it can be limited - we recommend arriving early or carpooling to secure a spot. Springfield Manor has on-site parking available for all guests at the reception. Carpooling is always a great idea so everyone can enjoy the celebration without worry.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the Mass and ceremony out of respect for the liturgy and our professional photographer. Please enjoy the moment fully - we'll have plenty of photos to share afterward! Feel free to take as many photos as you like at the reception.
Do you have any dietary accommodations?
Yes! Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP so we can make sure you're well taken care of at the reception dinner.
Can I bring a plus one?
We'd love to celebrate with everyone, but to keep things intimate we're only able to accommodate the guests named on your invitation. Please RSVP for only those listed - we appreciate your understanding!
Are children welcome?
While we adore your little ones, our celebration is limited to those listed on the invite. The only exception is infants under one year old, who are welcome to attend if don't need a seat of their own.
So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.
